Well you might have guessed it but you probably didn’t want to believe it…the contractor was still not finished with the bathroom and so I am out at the house once again. Apparently while he was trying to mount the new radiator to the wall, he hit a water pipe and had to spend hours welding it and otherwise trying to fix the damage he’d done. Not cool…but at least he didn’t just go off and leave it.
I fully expect that he will finish everything today. He has been making good progress so far and already has the heater hung so we can finally get the heat back on in the house. Since this radiator switch out has been oh so much fun, we’ve pretty much decided that we won’t be switching out the rest of them anytime soon…unless we need to. The majority of the heaters work just fine and we’d need a special adapter and could end up spending days on each heater, much like this one, so it’s just not worth the hassle.
Needless to say these days and days of delay are not looking so good for the contractor but we’re still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He definitely does good work when it comes to finishing out rooms and what not, but plumbing and heating is apparently not his thing…but at least we know that now. 😉
