It has been quiet on this blog for a while and there is good reason. 3 weeks ago Stefan and I have received the new addition to our little family. Ayla our Newfoundland puppy is now 11 weeks old and growing nicely. She is already 25lbs and we believe she will be fully grown by the time we are heading out on the roadtrip – about 100lbs 🙂
So, needless to say things have been quite hectic around here between training “puppers” to be a good doggy – thankfully she’s a doll in the car and loves hanging out with us – and getting more prepared for our trip.
Having Ayla around has been great fun so far. She is a very well behaved dog and so far hasn’t chewed on anything she wasn’t supposed to. No car sickness either, she seems to love riding in the dedender since the first day we picked her up from the breeders.
Of course having a 90-100lbs Newfie along throws a few more planning steps on our to do list.
